We know forest keeping 70% of water from rain and release slowly to lower ground, evaporation and surface runoff. So why we are cutting forest and do not know how to calculate how much rainfall, how much water kept in forest and hill and mountain and how much the water released to rives and sea and evaporated in the air. Just a simple mathematics. BUT still we cannot calculate well. NGO such as Malaysian Nature Society is very concerned and continuously reminding the authorities.
