all agencies must work together on the ground to save wildlife. As I said many times we need to have an integrated approach in wildlife conservation. Both federal and states must work together. Please refer to the experts not just the authority. At the same time we need to train all related government staff on wildlife management.

Tiger issues are still ongoing discussion but how far decision was made correctly. Many research were done but the report may be just for decoration. We need more practical ways to solve tiger issues before it totally extinct in Semenanjung Tanah Melayu.

We need simple basic science knowledge and logic thinking to solve many problems. We need to promote more citizen science programme.

Look clean and tidy but sometime people do not know what they are doing. I was working with the zoo sometimes a go. Easy way manager do to show his creative ideas was cutting trees so that visitors can see animals easily. ha ha ha hi hi hi hu hu hu. animals from forest not desert. So we need trees, Look good clean and tidy BUT for wrong reason.

It is a lot of challenges on durian because many are opportunistic and cannot leave behind to make quick money. How greedy you are please dont cut virgin forest for durian. Better invest in research so that we can produce high volume of durian.

Very difficult to convince Malaysian especially our leaders. They are too clever. BUT very easy to convince the foreigners including their professors. Since 1970 we are promoting fireflies for research, habitat protection and tourism. Now we can see many places are using fireflies to attract tourists. Kampung Kuantan and Cherating are among the places. Last year we manage to promote for the first time World Fireflies Day celebrated in few places.. It is recognized by the world but we are still sleepy. Now not just recognising World Fireflies Day BUT they are coming here for research. Later they will advise our leaders. Fireflies International Network (FIN) already established. Malaysian leaders may be just listen if the professor suggest something

Every new culture should start from the university. If we want to have green school or green polytechnic, recycling, entrepreneurs etc we must start at the university. WHY? because we have theory, research and practical.

University is a place where the qualified youth to be developed as young intellects and develop the scholar. If we divert the function to produce graduates, publication and glamour in the news paper then we will be very difficult to recruit top academic. Learning in the university is not fun but very serious in exploring knowledge competing for new findings, highest talent and strong basic knowledge. University is a place to experiment individual to be intellect who have knowledge, able to analyse knowledge and present to the experts to be analyse. If we do not have experts and matured scholar how do we expect to assess the good talent. Then we say low quality graduates and difficult to look for quality academic leaders.

Now people are talking about green and sustainability. The question now is HOW to establish sustainability on campus.

After successful campaign in UPM Campus and other 5 universities now we go to schools. Recycling culture must begin in campus then public.

Durian become popular fruit and make the price increasing beyond affordable prices for poor people. Some thing need to be done to increase productivity, high quality fruit and reduce the price. All from agriculture to food technology must involve.

Good idea to have small solid waste especially plastic disposal place BUT cannot just burn. Need to improve the technology so taht irt is environmental friendly and not a mini incinerator.

Time moving very fast probably we can keep this picture to compare in the future. This picture was taken five years a go. If all these good brain can be united I am very sure something great will happen. 40 years a go we talk on AI(Artificial Intelligent)), We were very successful in promoting science and technology and manage to have 60:40 Science to arts in Negeri Sembilan. During that time magic science and basic ecology telling about the reality of life. That make students like science. For teachers we taught them how to make learning science easy.

If all students in the university are planting trees and maintain it for four years we will see all campuses are green. All campus should plan for tree planting activities.

The way we are teaching in the university must be checked. Why our graduates when they are holding important positions they are not doing a good job. The know but no actions. May be when they were in the university they are not honest in making the assignments. In case of river pollution, they know rules and regulations but still we have illegal factories on the river bank and released untreated effluents in to the rivers. We taught them on bioindicators for chemiical pollution or ecological changes. They probably got A but when they are given authority they cannot perform. no integrity probably..

I do not know what is the directions of our researchers. all researchers must have long term vision not just copy what you have learned during your master and PhD . Go deeper. we dont want all conflicts like this genetic studies on our local species, why we let foreign scientists to solve our problems or conflicts? When foreign scientists solve the problems and published in the jounals we shouted on the streets or viral it in social media. Scientists must publish in Q1 journal not viral in social media. BUT dont surprise sometimes those who are popular in social media are promoted. Our academic culture is not matured yet.

What ever we want to do we need to plan properly. We have rules and regulations I do not understand why we dont want to follow it. Why people like to bully others. We cannot allow untreated effluent release into the river. It will change the water quality and kill some of the organisms.

What we can do with durian. Are we going to wait until China tell us what we can do with it. 50 years a go I dont throw them because we can use for many things.

I dont know why we dont listen to the scientists. If you want money too you can ask scientists. All Scientists can be rich if the want to be rich. But many dont want to be rich materially but they are rich in ideas, creativity and innovation. Learn From Scientists.

the minister can shout and giving press statements but the effect of his actions not yet confirm effective enough. We need to educate the ministers, politician, government officers then the public. Now we are focusing on school children too much. unfortunately their parent still at the old stage. we educating children and their parent for political power. The government officers are territorial until the ministers and laws are firmed on wildlife conservation.

Plastic pollution will continue until human can manage them. Major producer single use plastic need to be creative redesign their products to avoid plastic pollution especially in conservation of marine wildlife.

Government dont provide money for NGOs. The NGOs need donors and volunteers to support nature conservation activities.

We need more volunteers especially in conserving nature. We need both the seniours and the youth. Since many retired people are still strong and fit they can contribute in conserving nature through MNS Malaysian Nature society.

Many agencies are discussing on this ruminant issues. May be we should be honest with our country. If we think good we do it and cannot have personal interest or business interest. We have talking long time a go that we don't have enough meat supply and spent a lot of money for import.

Please take the opportunity Tun Mahathir as the Prime Minister of Malaysia to redevelop Malaysian attitude to work harder and honest with their job. Work professionally and follow Japanese way of work.

I was very lucky in last two weeks I met CEO and staff of three big companies in the world Nestle, BHP and Cocacola. I learned a lot from my discussion with their CEO and staff. I have been collaborating with the Coca cola since 2012 and recently with Nestle and BHP. One thing that I observed was all are happy working with their company. In fact Google too the staff have the same spirit.

I think Malaysia is not responding enough to what the Prime Minister Tun Mahathir say about Look East Policy especially on the attitude, knowledge, creativity, innovation and technology. We have many universities, institutes and polytechnics in Malaysia. How far we have look east spirit. With new media we don't have to go to Japan and come back just making a story. We cannot just be a story teller and bedroom story reader and listener. We need to react now. with the opportunities we have.

Come and join me in campaigning managing plastic pollution. Plastic polluting ocean and cause serious effects on marine life and later will affect human health too beside ocean pollution. Very challenging because people pretend do not understand what will happen to plastic when it enter the ocean. After they understand they are scared especially the ladies. Ladies need to help to manage the plastic pollution. Thye can be effective campaign agent.
