When the government distributing research grants and when the panel professors assessing research proposals, they always forgotten about basic sciences. BUT when we have natural disasters then they come to basic scientists for lelp and suggesting the solution. Usually in the developed countries research grants for basic scientists are continuous not just from the government agencies but the private sectors. We Malaysian need to transform now.

Only high order thinking society will accept this idea. Others may follow other lights
