Example of Perak State actions in protecting and conservation in Perak where I was born.

"The six points are not demands which are difficult to follow or implement," he said here yesterday.
They are:
- To amend the state forest enactments to make mandatory public announcements and public consultations (relevant NGOs included) prior to the future excision of forest reserves;
- To take steps to re-gazette the Forest Reserve in Tanjung Hantu Forest Reserve;
- To take concrete steps to gazette Kinta Nature Park under the Perak State Park Enactment (as proposed by the Perak State Government) and to adopt and implement a balanced management plan in consultation with stakeholders;
- To take necessary actions to stop further excision of Pondok Tanjung Forest Reserve and to re-gazette state land in the perimeter of the area to enlarge Pondok Tanjung Forest Reserve;
- To adopt and implement the Belum-Temengor Integrated Management Plan presented to Perak State Government by Northern Corridor Implementation Authority and to engage environmental NGOs in the monitoring of its implementation; and,
- To stick closely to all relevant master plans (both local and national) when embarking on new development.
