Orang Asli cannot be separated if we are promoting conservation of wildlife. They know the forest better. We need to educate them and support them so that they do not over harvesting and together protecting wild life. Sahabat Engang or friends of hornbills is one of the creative way to get support from Orang Asli to conserve hornbills in Belum Temenggor. We can see 10 species of hornbills in Belum Temenggor. We need to protect them from poaching and habitat disruption. Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) formed Sahabat Enggang . after Sahabat Beruang, Sahabat raja Rimba and sahabat Hutan Bakau . All are to support MNS in protecting, conserve and managing wildlife.
