May be some teachers in USJ4 who listen to my talk last week remember same argument on teaching load among teachers in school. If teachers teaching 14 hours in a week meaning their teaching load will be more than 52 hours. This is beyong 40 hours work load. Not including meeting, etc. Same to lecturers in the university. WHY WE DID NOT DO IT BEFORE INDEPENDENT.

Najib: Govt looking at reducing non-teaching workload in schools

"We need to find a way to take off this extra workload, especially if it is something that is not related to the core business of educating,”

Najib said this was part of the planned revamp of the national education system under the National Education Blueprint 2013-2025.

He noted that the education system must be able to produce “educated” individuals with the ability to compete with the best in the world.

When we apply High Order Thinking (HOT) approach, we will apply new and effective teaching and learning approach culture. But with high teaching load we may produce robot and not truely teaching.
