We need rattan for furniture and other usage. after many years we still cannot solve over harvesting of rattan in the forest by Orang Asli. About time we plant together oilpalm and rubber. Need more research for the sustainability of rattan supply. Orang Asli need to be educated and control. Most of the time Orang asli are used by others including marrying them for forest products.
