Which one is stronger, academic institution or business centre? Why we need to take out top department in the university

May be the academician should be stronger and tell everybody to keep business a side. Or purposely we appoint academic leaders to sell the programme, graduates, staff and the university. This make the academic staff keep working hard and the bosses selling ideas, pprogrammes and properties. We should develop ourself make people recognised and value ourself. Then people will pay our services. Then we can get quality students, charging higher fees, and getting high salary.
