Scientists know that harmful additives, pigments, plasticisers, flame retardants and other toxic compounds are leaching into the water and causes effects to aquatic organisms. Plastic in coastal environment is an international issues. Malaysia cannot run away from this. BUT we cannot get research grants for this kind of research.
