1. Get good students for the first year in all programmes, not only CGPA and grades but good in English proficiency too.
2. Teaching and learning style. More discussion, presentation, assignment need to be given to the students. Not just listening and smiling in the class and the discussions are dominated by the lecturer.
3. Students must be given opportunity to speak and freedom in thinking and giving opinion on the issues discussed in class not just cut and paste from websites. Free discussion in class make students more matured.
4. Learning burden need to be assessed so that the students have ample time to study and involve in other social activities.
5. Lecturers have time to discuss with the students so that more knowledge are well transferred, not just communicating through SMS, email, fb or notes on the door. The universities must recognise lecturer-students contact hours, not just publications in high if journals and h index.
