World Wetlands Day 2012

2 February each year is World Wetlands Day. It marks the date of the adoption of the Convention on Wetlands on 2 February 1971, in the Iranian city of Ramsar on the shores of the Caspian Sea. Each year since 1997, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and groups of citizens at all levels of the community have taken advantage of the opportunity to undertake actions aimed at raising public awareness of wetland values and benefits in general, and the Ramsar Convention in particular.

We have New Economic Policies, New transformation Programme and we need to have new social model too BUT HOW?

Thesis quality VS Students quality VS Supervisors

Not that easy to be a supervisor and the examiners. For the supervisor, Not just ask the students to write the thesis, and for the examiners, not just to read the thesis. Thesis started from ideas, objectives, experimental design, literature.....until read and examine the thesis. Therefore supervisors need to be given more recognition......examiners too.

Academician VS Administration Officers always speak in different wavelength. Procedures, policies and history VS facts, figures and analyses

Nature will attract more tourists in the future. We should plan from now. KSNP needs to be developed systematically and supervised by the experts
