We are not behind in presenting ideas, setting SOPs and managing the rice fields. BUT we have problems in coordinating farmers, managing ploughing, managing water, managing pest such as pomacea, rats, weeds and other insects and fungus. May be they are under the same roof but different management and probably not communicating between them. They probably did their jobs but not well coordinated. a continuous R&D need to be carried out. Ask universities to help.

I have been writing many issues on university's leadership for the world class university, producing quality graduates and future intellectual society. You can refer some of them by typing university leadership or world class university. After at least for the past 5 years we are talking about that and I think Malaysia still lacking in university's leaders not just the management team headed by the vice chancellor but the Board of Directors too may be blur about the university's direction and function. We have long way to go. There are ways but we are still very far for truly world class university. This is like the ways that we are looking at the jungle trail and lost by the trails built by the orang asli or wild boar trail. We need to learn fast in order to be at the world level where others are moving very fast.

House renovation: probably the original design already considered many aspects of life including privacy. After renovation may be we face another problems such as privacy of personal or family or culture and religion. Renovation of back side of house may create uncomfortable situation such as conflict of sight or visual, noise, light and energy. Creating emotional clash etc. smell of cooking, smoke and many other cultural conflict. How far the authority look in to this mater to avoid conflict among the residents.

This journal is popular among shore birds researchers BUT no impact factor. May be since Malaysian Scientists who are working in the same flyway we can contribute to this journal.

Malaysian varsities not world class? a great challenge. What professors can do to help the universities in Malaysia. Perhaps start with good leaders and focus to the criteria of world ranking universities. May be in three years we can do it.

Despite being the country’s oldest university, Universiti Malaya is lagging behind in global rankings in higher education. – The Malaysian Insider file pic, May 1, 2015.

Another hard process, changing peoples habit, thinking and culture. Can rules and regulation solve the problems? or need aggressive educational processes? or just punish where ever necessary.
