Some people said academician now working for promotion, better position, power, popularity and better salary and to get award from Sultan. For me scientist must work, teaching to develop young intelect, looking for new ideas and findings. Eg. people are talking about biodivesity, conservation, climate change etc BUT so far still no changes, why?. May be the professors not yet found new ideas, strategies and effective actions. Now a days people said to get a promotion and award from Sultan is not genuine anymore. All about politics and hearsay, not base on real contribution or merit. If no body suggest your name, you will be left behind. To get people suggest your name, we must close to top management. need to reduce out your working time and focus to work. Any way we respect Sultan's right to whom he want to give the award. Daulat Tuanku!!!
Sabah declares war on wildlife poaching: "The war on illegal wildlife trade and poaching has just began, so hunters and poachers in Sabah be warned that there will be no compromise as we will be prosecuting and we will charge them to the highest extent of the law. Be ready to be jailed,” As I said previously, we need an aggressive education, monitoring, awareness, enforcement and develop integrity. Corruption, low pay, demand for money, standard of living of locals all contributing to illegal hunting. Sabah Government commitment in protecting wildlife must be supported by all.
The wildlife meat being sold openly at the market is a real challenge to the Sabah Wildlife Department
May be some have forgotten 20years old tragedy Highlands Tower. But nature never forgot. Science teach us about the tragedy BUT who cares. Business First Safety later. History just a story.

•“I
must confess that when the tragedy happened, one of the things I knew for
certain – inside I felt this anger – was that it was the result of wishy-washy
work, of people not being responsible. I also thought there must have been
elements of corruption and neglect.”
•“The
sad thing is that in the last 20 years, things don’t seem to have changed.
There have been so many similar tragedies and sure enough we get everybody
making the same expressions of regret, anger and promises to prevent
recurrences.
•“It’s
all talk and nothing seems to have been done especially in the form of laws,
regulations and, most importantly, enforcement,” Tun Musa Hitam said.

May be no time to think about recycle or managing half a million bottles that might be thrown away and floating in the water which later will contaminate the environment or blocking drainage which might cause another disaster to human being. BUT I do not think many people will consider these bottles will cause problems later. Now they are happy drinking water and throw a way the bottles floating to the sea and come back to coastal environment. Debris which majority are plastics on the coast are international issues.
Natural disaster cannot be controlled such as heavy rain, earth quakes, strong wind, volcanic eruption, etc. BUT may be we can reduce problems by managing our environment. Usually flood occurs due to human errors. Think for the future and human health! Refer to scientists not just economist and politician.
