Malaysia too celebrating World Cup. Many young who like footballs are making preparation. They play footballs with style, expensive and satisfaction. BUT why Malaysia still behind in football. If the young like to sacrifice a lot for football why we cannot take advantage on them to produce a good team for the country?
The FIFA World Cup, often simply the World Cup, is an international association football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the sport's global governing body. The championship has been awarded every four years since the inaugural tournament in 1930, except in 1942 and 1946 when it was not held because of the Second World War. The current champions are Spain, who won the 2010 tournament in South Africa.
The current format of the tournament involves 32 teams competing for the title at venues within the host nation(s) over a period of about a month; this phase is often called the World Cup Finals. A qualification phase, which currently takes place over the preceding three years, is used to determine which teams qualify for the tournament together with the host nation(s).
The 19 World Cup tournaments have been won by eight different national teams. Brazil have won five times, and they are the only team to have played in every tournament. The other World Cup winners are Italy, with four titles; West Germany, with three titles; Argentina and inaugural winners Uruguay, with two titles each; and England, France, and Spain, with one title each.
The World Cup is among the world's most widely viewed sporting events; an estimated 715.1 million people watched the final match of the 2006 FIFA World Cup held in Germany.
The next three World Cups will be hosted by Brazil in 2014, Russia in 2018, and Qatar in 2022.

Is there any evidence to indicate the existence of association between high research output and the effectiveness of undergraduate teaching? We need to do research in this area. In this university research is important BUT in what extend? Human resource produvct is more important. BUT how?
How to produce high quality graduates from research university?
1. quality of lecturers
2. quality of students
3. quality of curriculum
4. quality of facilities (including management & leadership quality)
5. quality of academic culture in the university (whole campus society understand the campus culture and objectives of the university and together move forward, avoid competition in implementing individual ideas)

In India, cultural preferences for a son have helped fuel a growing gender divide. After China, the country has the lowest ratio of women to men in the world among major countries and the proportion is at its lowest level in India's history. About 100,000 Indian women were trafficked for marriage last year – an increase of about 20 percent since 2006 – as more single men try to find a wife by turning to gangs that abduct women. Globalisation of culture may change the local pressure on marriage BUT many other things will occur. In human lcivilisation local culture and religion is very imporatnt. How far local government, scientists, sociologist, ICT and education goes along.
Lucky living in Malaysia: Business controlled life, publicity and power. Celebrating festival is among business strategies. Keep harmony and peace.
Christmas (Old English: Crīstesmæsse, meaning "Christ's Mass") is an annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ and a widely observed cultural holiday, celebrated in Western Christianity on December 25 by millions of people around the world. A feast central to the Christian liturgical year, it closes the Advent season and initiates the twelve days of Christmastide, which ends after the twelfth night. Christmas is a civil holiday in many of the world's nations, is celebrated by an increasing number of non-Christians, and is an integral part of the Christmas and holiday season.
Christianity in Malaysia is a minority religion practised by 9.2% of the population (2010 census), most living in East Malaysia. The major Christian denominations in Malaysia include the Anglicans, Baptists, Brethren, non-denominational churches, independent Charismatic churches, Lutherans, Methodists, Presbyterian and Roman Catholics.

ASM 2013 Conferment of Fellowship & Announcement of TRSM 2013: Good move by Academy Science Malaysia and the Government of Malaysia. We can see changes in S&T. What we need to do for the young scientists, if you want to be one you must work hard and at the same time fill up the relavent forms and make sure your boss nominate you. Make your self known. Do not surprise, some of the award recievers are low quality than you BUT they are in the circle. So those who are interested make sure you are in the circle. Keep working for S&T.
For Better Umrah Services: May be PM and his wife can help to reduce business commpetition and greedy collecting money for umrah and end up with poor services and affected many muslims. What if happened to the old, poor, rural people. Pitty them. Saving money for years and end up with sleeping at the airport for days.
Good idea!!!! BUT what are the limitation? Money is not everything, living in harmony is necessary. Moderate living is sustainable, less threat, criminals, stress, greedy, etc. Integrity, religious, culture, knowledge, creativity, education, principles are among the important parameters in life. The strength of the country not just economy BUT integrity. Thats why Jihad to protect your country. Unfortunately Jihad is among the muslim and in Malaysia only how many percents are muslim and out of that only how many percents will jihad for the country? Those who are greedy for money probably will sell the country.........
As I have said many time why people like to bring back rubbish to their house and then do not know how to manage them. I think if every body try to manage their wei/organic waste and practice recycle this will solve the problem, Sorting easte at home is very important. At first just separating organic waste and recycle waste (plastic, papers, glasses, tin, ect.). Organic waste with low water content can be recycle too by using microorganism or earth worms. Try to learn how to manage our waste.
I think if Saudi Arabia Government really want to serve muslim for umrah, they must have a good systems. If we can see haji programme is better now why not umrah. Malaysian eating belacan, budu, cencalok and ulam raja may be have better brain and thinking styles rather than ...... may be Malaysian can give a good formula to Saudi Government and collaborate how to manage umrah perfectly. This over 1000 years islamic religious activities need to be improved and make easy for all muslim. We cannot imagine when high income society among Malays in Malaysia. They want to thank God and go to umrah every year. Then at lease Mekah must be able to cater 1-3 million Malaysian evey year. If 15 millions visitors now going to Mekah every year we can imagine the system and services needed when muslim population increased and high income groug also increased. More business perhaps BUT we need beter services too! Will it be another Bangkok, London, paris, New York, Dubai and Los Angeles? wheere the visitors reaching 100 millions a year.

Money, business and power control politics, religion and agriculture etc. eg we can buy votes for position in political party and later control the country and world, rice mills owner can regulate farmers when to harvest their paddy, when to plough their paddy field, etc. not the government body. the answer is easy rice mill cannot accept paddy if you sent not at the time set up by the rice mill. In religion too the company determine time to perform umrah.......many more example. Thats why education is very important at all levels and integrity too is important.
NGO and seniour Government officers must talk each other and sharing the ideas and issues so that the law and enforcement are well implemented and according to policies and planning. When we are talking about environment and nature Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) must be included in all discussion on conservation and protection of Malaysian Biodiversity.

Young Malaysian tradition: when world cup season is coming they are busy with style and fashion in footballs. Branded gears especially "adidas" become thier choices. For Y generation in Malaysia especially in urban areas, football or futsal can bring them together in the court/field sharing sweat between them Malays, Chinese, Indian and others, and bring them out of their quiet room playing video games to the outdoors.

Mecca (/ˈmɛkə/; Arabic: مكة, Makkah, pronounced [ˈmækkæ]), also transliterated as Makkah, is a city in the Hejaz and the capital of Makkah Province in Saudi Arabia. The city is located 70 km (43 mi) inland from Jeddah in a narrow valley at a height of 277 m (909 ft) above sea level. Its resident population in 2012 was roughly 2 million, although visitors more than triple this number every year during Hajj period held in the twelfth Muslim lunar month of Dhu al-Hijjah.
As the birthplace of Muhammad and a site of Muhammad's first revelation of the Quran (the site in specificity being a cave 3.2 km (2 mi) from Mecca), Mecca is regarded as the holiest city in the religion of Islam and a pilgrimage to it known as the Hajj is obligatory for all able Muslims. Mecca is home to the Kaaba, by majority description Islam's holiest site, as well as being the direction of Muslim prayer. Mecca was long ruled by Muhammad's descendants, the sharifs, acting either as independent rulers or as vassals to larger polities. It was absorbed into Saudi Arabia in 1925. In its modern period, Mecca has seen tremendous expansion in size and infrastructure, home to structures such as the Abraj Al Bait, also known as the Makkah Royal Clock Tower Hotel, the world's third tallest building and the building with the largest amount of floor area. Due to this expansion, Mecca has lost some historical structures and archaeological sites, such as the Ajyad Fortress.Today, more than 15 million Muslims visit Mecca annually, including several million during the few days of the Hajj. As a result, Mecca has become one of the most cosmopolitan and diverse cities in the Muslim world, despite the fact that non-Muslims are prohibited from entering the city.

Umrah involves million of people in the world and it is a continuous processes. Why muslim countries including Saudi Arabia still cannot provide the best solution and facilities for the muslims to perform umrah. After thousands of years now may be haj is improving. If we ompare to people going for holiday in London or Los Angeles where is the management of umrah? Because this is the religious matter. It should be the best and not just a business opportunity for the greedy. MALAYSIA SHOULD LEAD????

The Umrah or (Arabic: عمرة) is a pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, performed by Muslims that can be undertaken at any time of the year. In Arabic, Umrah means "to visit a populated place". In the Sharia, Umrah means to perform Tawaf round the Kaaba and Sa'i between Al-Safa and Al-Marwah, after assuming Ihram (a sacred state), either from a Miqat like Zu 'l-Hulafa, Juhfa, Qarnu 'l-Manāzil, Yalamlam, Zāt-i-'Irq, Ibrahīm Mursīa, or a place in Hill. It is sometimes called the 'minor pilgrimage' or 'lesser pilgrimage', the Hajj being the 'major' pilgrimage and which is compulsory for every able-bodied Muslim who can afford it. The Umrah is not compulsory but highly recommended.

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek: Bumiputras, comprised about 67.9% of the population, and majority of the lower income group were still Malays. Majority of the households earning less than RM2,000 a month were also mostly Malays. 57 years independent, 40 over year NEP and 30 years look east policy we still singing the same song. What PM will response?

Why we dont pay salary base on quality of work or academic qualification or we choose universal formula. OR we still pay as Budaya Korek Parit. Idea korek parit cost zero or 2 cents BUT hard work of korek parit cost all. Do not give ideas just wait to get tender for korek parit. Meeting and brainstorm fo a decision have to pay for coffee and cake and tol and parking fees and milage and time and energy. Korek parit got paid and some times very high pay.

Leptospirosis is not new disease but becoming popular now in Malaysia. We need to understand about the bacteria and how they transmited to human and cause problems. How to prevent fron infection and cure it. all need basic sciences. BUT if the panels keep rejecting simple monitoring and descripting types of research proposal, how we are going to solve the bigger problems. Panels must open their eyes and think out of petridish!
Leptospirosis (also known as Weil's syndrome, canicola fever, canefield fever, nanukayami fever, 7-day fever, Rat Catcher's Yellows, Fort Bragg fever, black jaundice, and Pretibial fever) is caused by infection with bacteria of the genus Leptospira and affects humans as well as other animals.
Leptospirosis is among the world's most common diseases that transmits from animals to people (zoonosis). The infection is commonly transmitted to humans by allowing water that has been contaminated by animal urine to come in contact with unhealed breaks in the skin, the eyes, or with the mucous membranes. Outside of tropical areas, leptospirosis cases have a relatively distinct seasonality—most cases occur in spring and autumn.

Look at big rats inspecting your kitchen, bedrooms, checking all plates, glasses, spoons or may be exposed food at night. How about restaurants? Who want to make sure that all your food, plates and glasses are save from rats urine and feces? Need to have a monitoring kits.
Not that easy to promote the ideas and making people accept it. You may be happy when people accept the ideas and implement it BUT most of the time no body know that it was your ideas. Dont bother about name. Keep working and contributing your ideas and energy. Tree planting in Shah Alam is unique: Dusun dalam Bandar.

Concern over bad lifestyles of undergrads: Teaching was not really happening in schools. All about passing exam. In the university they continue schools habit and practicing free living style. They forgot that they have long way to go before having luxery life. In the university they should develop their intelectual and profesional culture before they go to real life in their career.
