Another Opportunity to Collaborate with Japanese Scientists through JSPS 2011-2015

May be we should take this opportunity to collaborate with Japanese Scientists especially from The University of Tokyo, Atmospheric and Ocean Research Institute. We can recruit new young scientists during this 5 years collaboration. Young scientists should come forward show their interest and hard work in research and publications.

Look at the teachers OR Lecturers. They are over work!. if they are teaching 12 hours a week meaning their minimum involvement with students are 12x3=36hours a week. In one week they have 40 hours. If they involve in administration matters, students counseling, students activities (sports and co-curriculum) etc. then they are over work! Imagine professors in the universities; teaching, students consultation or supervision, preparing lectures, questions, and preparing seminars, conferences and publications, meetings, etc. Their work are not suppose to be under stress but with the datelines, students demand and short term outcomes make lecturers/professors are stressful and not productive.

Challenges in Basic Science, Application and Extension

We can mobilise our researchers in the universities, research institutes, government departments and operators or public or farmers to analyse pest and pesticides issues and solution. Basic sciences can find out solutions by providing basic information on pest and farmers. Basic sciences such as taxonomy, life cycles, habitat, behaviour, feeding habit and types of food, ecosystem, etc serve as an information towards the solution. Perhaps universities with the professors and their students can help the government departments and farmers solving the problems through their extension programmes. "With Knowledge We serves". DO IT REGULARLY NOT JUST FOR CEREMONIAL LIKE JUARA RAKYAT IN TANJUNG KARANG AND DO NOT LET THE POLITICIAN DICTATE US.
