Hornbill in Clay Jar

Usually hornbill nesting in hole of tall tree and the female incubate their eggs in the nest covered by mud leave small hole enough for feeding. Male will take care of the female during incubation period until their young birds can fly. Today I witness hornbill nesting in clay jar on the ground. The mouth of jar is covered by mud and leave hole enough for male feeding the female. This is another challange in hornbill conservation. In Selangor five species of hornbill are found around Sungai Besar areas.
