The Star: Thursday July 26, 2012 Soil erosion may cause soil and rocks to slide down Bukit Kiara. SOIL erosion in the newly cleared part of Bukit Kiara is causing rocks and boulders to slowly make their way down the hill, with some leaning precariously against trees.

Friends of Bukit Kiara and many concerned parties have been requesting JLN to stop all works in Bukit Kiara and consult the stakeholders before undertaking any construction and speed up its gazettement as a permanent green lung.
May be we need to understand about type of forest and use for recreation. Jogging, walking, mountain bike etc....

Soil erosion Soil erosion is a naturally occurring process that affects all landforms. In agriculture, soil erosion refers to the wearing away of a field's topsoil by the natural physical forces of water and wind or through forces associated with farming activities such as tillage.
