Why wildlife need to be protected and conserve? Human being still need them for better life in the future. Scientists must work hard to convince the public and government.

What are the issues?

Among them are wildlife and human conflicts such as macaques-human conflicts; wildlife functions in forest ecology such elephants and seed dispersal, forest floor insect ecology and secondary growth; wildlife as source of traditional medicines such as Tokay Gecko, ant eater, tortoise:




road kills due to roads crossing forest reserve and forests fragmentation; and wildlife smuggling (reptiles, birds, etc).

Government of Malaysia through Perhilitan established few centers for wildlife rehabilitation and conservation such as bird sanctuary at Kuala Gula, elephant training and conservation center in Kuala Gandah, Gaur and pheasants in Sungkai, Sungai Dusun for Tapir.
