Mandor dan Pekerja: dulu pekerja potong rumput akan berkumpul awal pagi dan diberikan taklimat apa yang akan dibuat hari ini. selepas mereka menerima taklimat, mereka akan mengasah tajak, selepas setengah jam mereka mula menebas rumput. setelah setengah jam, mereka berhenti minum kemudian mengasah tajak lagi dan sambung lagi menajak/menebas rumput dan berhenti lebih kurang pukul 11 pagi, berkumpul untuk naik lori balik ke kesetesen. Lori akan berjalan perlahan untuk sampai tepat pukul 12.30 waktu tamat bekerja. Demikianlah cerita lama yang mungkin masih berulang di zaman cyber ini. adakah zaman multi tasking ini masih mahukan mandor atau supervisor?

Two things I used to proposed to solve rubbish in school and no heavy bags to school. 1) no dustbin in school, so that no place to throw rubbish and the students have to bring it home. 2) school is the place to get knowledge, so school must have enough books and students do not have to bring books to school. Just bring their bag with food from home.

Administrator’s culture: passing the baton to others to get information or complete the jobs. The real multi skills staffs are still the academician; thinking, plan, design, instruct, doing it, construct and completed with reports and analyses.

How they work?

When administrators got the instruction, minutes, or ideas; they will pass to other staff under them giving another instructions or just say as well mentioned in the letters, then the other officers pass to the clerks or now called assistant administrators, and the clerks have to do it by asking temporary staff or office boy. Can you imagine the decision made by the lowers staff in the office. If they are on leave then all systems are delayed. Lower staff work under stress and later they retired and new staff comes. How we can compete with the world if this is going on and on.......

How to assess the student’s achievement or learning outcomes achieved? By examination, assignments, interview or looking at their interest and understanding along their study period (continuous assessment)? Or monitor their mark 3 or 4 times a semester?
