Dr J. Ruben Lara Lara Professor/Researcher dari Centre of Scientific Research and Higher Education of Ensenada Mexico menghadiri Workshop di Kuala Lumpur turut melawat Jabatan Biologi UPM bagi membina jaringan baharu dengan UPM dalam bidang oceanografi dan sains marin. Kajian ekologi ikan medaka dan hutan bakau menjadi minat beliau kerana ada kesamaan antara Mexico dan Malaysia.









Perbincangan lanjut berkaitan sains perikanan dan pencemaran bersama ahli sains, bekas menteri kelautan dan perikanan Prof. Dr. Rokhmin dan penasihat governor-governor juga bersetuju dan mengharapkan kerjasama ini akan berjalan dengan baik serta menunjukkan hasil yang cemerlang.
Teaching biology is not limited in the class room only but also involve laboratory and field/out door. This make teaching and learning of biology are more interesting.
Some subjects need to be tested and analysed after they were explained in the lecture. The students will understand better after they some experiments in the laboratory.
