Tapir Research at Belum-Temenggor Forest Reserve

French scientists now study on tapir ecology in Belum, Perak. The project is sponsored by French Government. I am looking for one PhD candidate from Malaysia to work together with PhD candidate from France. unfortunately I cannot get even one candidate from Malaysia except two undergraduate students. BUT now I got one candidate from Japan, Miss Yuko TAWA (picture above) from Wildlife Research Center, Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University. Another opportunity to expand existing collaboration with Kyoto University.
Tapir usually solitary but very lucky this time we got two. Picture from camera trap set by Miss Yuko Tawa during my trip to Belum-Temenggor recently. Meaning the tapirs are still there and we need an urgent information, protection and conservation before too late. MNS is working hard because it is a logo for MNS.

Dear Prof Ahmad,

This is an old post but I am glad that to found it from a Google search. So I couldn't resist leaving a comment here.

I have met Ms. Tawa Yuko in Japan and she is now working in Kyoto City Zoo. Indeed a very nice and humble lady. I hope I can collaborate with her in Japan for more tapir studies in the future.

Best regards,

Lim
