Frogs Ecology and Biodiversity Studies on UPM campus

(Jim and Rosy from Reading University England and Iman from Subang Jaya cathing frogs in UPM campus)
Even frogs can attract young scientists from Reading University to come to UPM. In UPM campus there were a secondary forest, oil palm, coconuts and rubber plantations, paddy field and open grass land before and support many species of frogs. Until now we still can observe many common frogs species. We are now searching them in case we can find a unique one. Frogs, birds and some mammals on campus might develop a new attraction to foreign students especially from England to do their final year project on tropical animals. Management of the university (UPM) should consider this as an important attraction or destination for Foreign students such as European and Japan or Korea for their summer programme or short research attachment programme related to tropical ecology.
