BENTONG: Palm oil-based medicinial products worth RM600mil were exported last year.  This figure was expected to increase by another 8% this year following the upgrading in the production process at factories.  Apart from being used in making cooking oil, margarine and other food products, palm oil is used in the manufacture of items such as painkillers, Vitamin C and anti-oxidants.  Our palm oil-based medicinal products are of high quality and this has caused demand to increase.

MORE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUNG SCIENTISTS TO VENTURE IN OILPALM RELATED RESEACH, FROM ECOLOGY TO TECHNOLOGY, FROM AGRICULTURE TO MEDICINES, FROM HARD WORK TO HEALTH. GRANTS AND OPPORTUNITIES ARE THERE.  LEADERSHIP, PANELS AND POLITIC ARE IMPORTANT.
