Studies on biodiversity and population of fishes in front of Marine Science Station Port Dickson

About six weeks ago (above) and now happy with the results (below & top)

After about six weeks fish samples were analysed to assess the diversity of fishes in the coastal areas in front of UPM Marine Science Station in Telok Kemang, Port Dickson. These activities will assist the students who study fish biodiversity, fish ecology and ecotoxicology. The fish samples were kept as a specimens for reference at the station. Some fishes ofcourse for taste analyses
UPM researchers should put more efforts on the study of fish biodiversity and other tourism and fisheries related subjects. UPM Marine Science Station in Port Dickson should be more active not only to serve students in teaching and research but also the locals in training and extension activities. Local fishermen should venture in to tourisms as a new opportunity since Port Dickson is one of the important tourist destination in the country. UPM can collaborate with all agencies to develop new opportunities in education, research, tourisms and entrepreneurs in tourisms and fisheries related fields.
