Public education on environment, nature, habitat protecion and conservation is very urgent before too late!!!

Yesterday I have an opportunity to talk to few "Pengetua Cemerlang" who won many awards including environment. Many of them are not from science background. From TESL, Communication, History etc. Good they are talking about no plastic in school, rain water harvesting to save water bills (not to save water or discipline in using water), river cleaning programme using mo or mud balls (tonnes of mud balls were thrown into the river near their schools.....etc. They won the award based on projects not sustainable environment. This is misunderstanding and misconception of understanding, awareness, care, love and sustainability of environment. They need to be educated immediately before too late. Good effort from them but they seen don't understand about nature, environment and sustainability. They have awareness but no knowledge. Where are science teachers?
