Future Generation Want to See Milky Stork in the wild

Only 4 Milky Storks in the wild now. Nearly 30 Milky Storks were released in stages into their natural habitat in Kuala Gula. Now 12 of them are flying around Kuala Gula. With them are 2 juveniles hatched from one of released couple. Their survival depending on public support, enforcement, monitoring, continously educating public and publicity besides protecting their habitat and continous research. A systematic programme needed if we want to conserve this birds for the future generations. Participation from all agencies especially those related to coastal mangrove ecosystem needed. Perak State Government, Pejabat Daerah Matang and Kerian, Jabatan Perhilitan, Jabatan Perhutanan, Sime Darby and others should look for the experts to help them. Universiti Putra Malaysia and Zoo Negara already working together seriously on the Milky Stork Release Programme.
